Story Behind This Song

It’s so easy to get caught up in the mundane busyness of life…waking up, rushing off to work, racing home from work, running around with the kids, grabbing something to eat, home work, bathtime, TV, crashing into bed…only to repeat the exhausting cycle the following day. If we’re not careful….if we’re not taking inventory of our lives, examining our hearts, seeking the Lord to discover our purpose…we can very easily go through an entire lifetime, and never really live…only exist. We can forfeit everything God planned for us to do, before the beginning of time, not because we don’t want it, but because we never took the time to ask for it. Finding and living out our destiny has to be a deliberate, intentional act…and it can only be found in the one who formed us in the womb, the Creator himself. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but as my dad always says, “I want to live until I die.” I want to leave this world a better place than when I found it. I want to leave a legacy that points the world to Jesus…and by the grace of God, I vow to do just that….one day at a time, one soul at a time.
