Story Behind This Song

I wrote this song during I time when I just didn’t ‘feel’ worthy of being used by God. I would try to move forward, but was constantly reminded of all the reasons why I wasn’t qualified to do so. And yet I look in the Bible and see all of the flawed men and women whom God used to do miraculous things…thieves, murderers, adulterers…one example after another of the mercy and grace of God.

It comes down to a choice. Either we allow ourselves to be paralyzed by our past, the devil wins, and the blood of Jesus means nothing…or we stand on the truth of the word of God, that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” and “He whom the Son sets free is free indeed!” (Romans 8:1 & John 8:36)
