Story behind the CD by Michele McGovern: “I wrote the songs on this CD during a time in my life when I was in between seasons. God had promised so much to me, with regard to my life and ministry, but now I was basically in waiting mode, and facing lots of obstacles in the process. My life had become somewhat complicated, and I found myself at war between what I ‘felt’ and what I ‘knew.’ It was a time of learning how to trust God’s sovereignty and his timing, despite my doubts, and learning how to worship, as an act of obedience, despite my feelings. It was a time of going deeper in my relationship with the Lord and immersing myself in his will. I determined in my heart that I would pass the tests I was facing, and that come what may, I would not be shaken.

Little did I know that only a few short days after the CD was to be released, my dad, who is also my pastor, would be diagnosed with cancer. My family was about to enter the fight of our lives, and yet God revealed to me during those painful moments, that every trial I had to face, in order to write those songs, was His way of preparing my heart for the road ahead. Although I knew the journey would not be easy, it was comforting to know God was absolutely in control, and that His grace would make us to stand.”
